Recommended Healthy Eats:

Calypso - Some of the best salads in town if you are being good, and so much more if you are not counting calories. Great vista point over the plaza and excellent service.
Rollies - Now offering "The Mexifit Omlette".    Easily the best breakfasts in town.  Geenie keeps your coffee full, and Rollie makes sure his specialty pancakes are always fresh and ready.  Great spot to start your day, and for Paella lovers it is the only place to end your evening.

Leti's Lunch Counter - Just South of the plaza on Calle Revolucion. Lots of locals eat here for the great food at a great price. Ask for a Shelly Sandwich and get egg whites, lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, pickled jalapeno peppers on whole wheat toast. Best for carry-out not much space for eating there.

Roadside Chicken Stands - There's a few of them.  One's on the way into town, before you cross the bridge, on the right hand side, and its rotisserie.   Another one's close to the big tree as you enter the main part of Sayulita, and she's grillin'.  Both are finger lickin' good.  Skip the rice and tortillas if you're looking to keep it lean.

Coco Frio On The Beach - Fresh Cut (and washed) Fruit and Veggies - sold on the beach, under the blue tarp by the river outlet.  Your choice of produce comes in a cup, sprinkled with lime and chili sauce.  A perfect snack on a warm sunny day.

The Tamale Lady  On The Beach- Choose the chicken for some protein. Perfect surf fuel -only $1.

Tacos Talivan - The leanest meats and the least amount of grease/oil of all the street taco vendors.  We recommend the pork or chicken. Comes with some veggies and you can add more from their condiment table. Located in front of La Fiesta Restaurant.

Recommended Massage:

Massage and Rolf Bodywork with Riki.  She'll come to you, or you can go to her, either way this is one of the best practitioners in town.  Check her out online at Sayulitalife.com in the Massage section. You can also walk by and sign up in her book. Near Avalos Realty and the plaza.

Nirvana - Graziella is our favorite there. Mexican pricing and easy to walk by and sign yourself up in an open slot - book at bottom of stairs. Kitty corner to Olas Blancas Tiendita (corner store near beach)
Paulina - Don't let the word Chiropractic massage confuse you. Pau's healing hands work in a Mexican chiropractic technique that does not adjust or crack your spine. Find her on Sayulitalife.com or at the Doctor English Spoken sign on Revolucion (between the plaza and Rollies).

Recommended Playing (Exercise) in Sayulita:

Go Surfing - if you're a beginner, learn in the beginners section.  Know what you're doing?  Join the line-up.  Either way, you're having fun and getting a great total body workout.  Rentals are all over the beach.  Average lesson is $30-$40, and they are all good.
Swim and Play In The Waves, Bodysurf - anywhere and everywhere.  South end of the beach is friendlier where the ocean bottom is sand. Caution North of the river - there can be a mean undertow.

Hike and Explore - detailed maps coming soon, or just go get lost for awhile in nature's playground!

Kayak, Stand-Up Paddle - If you see one on the beach it is probably available for rental.

Hire a Personal Trainer for a Day! - this is a no-brainer!
Take a Bike Ride- there are rental places popping up everywhere.  The shirt shop, just up the street from Captain Pablo's, rents Giant mountain bikes hourly, daily and weekly.  The bikes are brand new!
Snorkel - Several places to rent the equipment, then walk to Los Muertos Beach.  Great underwater life all along the south shore of Los Muertos cove.
